Court-Grade Audit: A Record Where Tampering Is Provable

When a regulator, a lender or a court asks "who changed this, and when?", most systems can only offer a log that an administrator could have edited. That's not evidence — it's a claim. VERYX writes every state change to a hash-chained event store, so the record isn't just kept; it's *provable*. Alter a past entry and the chain breaks visibly. The audit trail is the kind you can stand behind.

A log you can edit proves nothing. A log where tampering is mathematically obvious proves everything.

Why ordinary logs don't hold up

A normal audit table records what happened — but it can be updated, reordered or quietly deleted by anyone with the right access, and nothing in the data would show it. The moment the record's integrity is in doubt, its evidential value is gone. For regulated work, assurance and disputes, that's a liability hiding in plain sight.

Hash-chained, so change is self-evident

VERYX links each audit event to the one before it with a cryptographic hash — the same idea that makes a blockchain tamper-evident, applied to your operational record. Every event seals the ones before it, so the history is complete, ordered and verifiable end to end:

  • Append-only — events are added, never silently edited.
  • Chained — each entry carries the fingerprint of the last.
  • Tamper-evident — change any past record and the chain no longer verifies.
  • Complete — every material state change is captured, not a sampled few.

Trust you can hand to a third party

The value shows up on the hardest days: an incident review, a funding due diligence, a dispute. Instead of "trust our log," you hand over a record whose integrity is self-proving. Paired with enterprise governance, it means you can show not only what happened, but that the account of it hasn't been touched.
